Derida Dance Center and DNK host the contemporary dance performance “Je te haime” by HURyCAN – one of the most successful young dance companies in Spain

HURyCAN

“Je te haime” is the second project of the two very talented contemporary dance artists from Spain – Candelaria Antelo and Arthur Bernard Bazin – united under the name HURyCAN. The premiere of “Je te haime” was in 2013 at the International Theatre and Dance Festival in Huesca, Spain where it won the Best Contemporary Performance Award. Invitations from various festivals and impressive feedback from professionals and audience followed after that.

Thanks to the European platform Aerowaves – Dance Across Europe that is operated for Bulgaria by Derida Dance Center and with the support of Sofia Municipality and DNK – space for contemporary dance and performance, the successful duet will be seen in Sofia.

Through the language of movement “Je te haime” questions the essence of the human communication. Harmony or conflict – the focus is on this instable chemical formula of interaction. “I hate you, I love you and little by little I know you” are words of Candelaria and Arthur about the idea of the project. On this basis the name of the performance was created – the inexistent in the French language verb “haime” is a mixture between the actual verbs “haine” (hate) and “aimer” (love).

For HURyCAN dance is a balance and an opportunity for mixing identities, actions, bodies – in the formation of an accessible language. “Je te haime” is very organic performance, created with a strong sense of humour, sincerity and courage. Scenes of it you can see in the trailer: https://vimeo.com/70261872

An in order to see it all, come on December 11th (Friday) in DNK – space for contemporary dance and performance in the National Palace of Culture. The beginning is at 19:30. Tickets at the price of 10/ 8 BGN can be purchased in Ticket Center NDK in advance or on site half an hour before the performance.
