Everybody who would like to apply for participation in the educational and training program Dance PORT Derida 2015 can do that till January 19th. So far the program has been extremely successful in developing young people’s potential and motivation for a career in the field of contemporary dance.
The program is being realized for a 4th year in a roll with the support of America for Bulgaria Foundation. It includes one-year training in contemporary dance techniques, classical ballet and other movement styles. Dance PORT Derida consists of 2 Modules. Module 1 is for non-professional participants with potential and strong motivation to develop themselves in the field of contemporary dance. The education is entirely free of charge for them. Module 2 serves the needs of professional dancers through offering daily classes. Thus they can keep in good shape and improve their skills.
Dance PORT Derida 2015 starts officially on February 2nd when classes begin. The application process will end on January 19th. Between January 20th and 30th Derida Dance team will do the selection process. It includes applications review. The people chosen after this stage will be invited to take part in a workshop with the main program instructors. After the workshop Dance PORT Derida 2015 participants will be announced.
For people who would like to apply for the program but reside outside of Sofia, Bulgaria, Derida Dance team will set individual dates for workshop selection.

Till now Dance PORT Derida program has provided an opportunity to many professional and non-professional dancers to build and improve skills and techniques necessary for their professional career as performers. Among the strongest points of the program are the daily engagement of the participants in classes in Derida Dance Center (Sofia) and the opportunity for widening their experience through participation in workshops with foreign choreographers and dancers.
