Derida Dance Center invites choreographers working  in the field of contemporary dance and performance to participate in the CO-LABOR project.

The chosen artists will be given the opportunity to realize their own projects in DDC’s studios throughout 20 working days.

Five-day laboratories are going to be organized simultaneously in which Bulgarian artists and contemporary dance lovers will be able to participate  under the mentorship of the selected resident.
The creative process is going to emphasize on interpretation of the theme “Share”. A composer and a video artiste will take part in the hole working process, including its presentation.

Derida Dance Center  will offer the selected artistes  a working space, financial support of 1000 BGN gross (around 500 EUR),  technical support and an opportunity to interact with a video artist and a composer in the development of their residency project.

Derida Dance Center is the first contemporary dance center in Bulgaria. The center offers daily classes for professional and amateur dancers, residence for artists and theorists. DDC is an alternative space where dance productions and workshops of Bulgarian and foreign artistes are being held.
The project is funded by Sofia Municipality’s “Culture” program 2013 as part of Sofia’s application for European Capital of Culture 2019.
