The british choreographer and performer Anthony Middleton will hold three days workshop in Derida Dance Center on 27, 28 February and 1 March.
Before training as a dancer Anthony Middleton competed at an international level Acrobatic Gymnast, competing as a member of the British Gymnastics squad. Following his graduation from ‘Northern School of Contemporary Dance’ (Leeds) in 2010, Anthony began his professional career dancing as a member of ‘BalletBoyz’, until joining ‘Motionhouse’, touring ‘Scattered’ in the USA and China. Anthony has also worked as a freelance performer with international companies and choreographers such as Tanz Luzerner Theater (Switzerland), Cas Public/ Helene Blackburn (Canada) and Luca Signoretti (Italy).
In 2012, Anthony began researching and creating work under the name of 'theMiddletonCorpus', combining the physical disciplines of Acrobatic Gymnastics and Contemporary Dance, along with influences from his interests in Japanese aesthetic principles, sculpture and philosophy. He has taught classes and creative workshops around the world, built around his own artistic principles and personal dance aesthetic.
