Atanas Maev, CEO of Derida Dance Center, departed for Almada on 3 October. He is there to take part in the seminar in the frame of the European project "ClASH! - when classic and contemporary dance collide and new forms emerge", in which Derida Dance Center is a partner.

The topic of the seminar is "Dance Festivals: The promotion of choreographers and the relationship between tradition and contemporary". The seminar is on the importance of festivals in promoting choreographic creation, paving the way for the confrontation between traditional perspectives and more contemporary attitudes in cultural programming.

It is aimed at dancers, choreographers, producers and anyone interested in the promotion of dance at regional, national and international levels and in exchanging ideas about policies and contexts for the performing arts.

The seminar is moderated by Katia Mortari, Ph.D. with presentations by Ana Vitória Freire, Ph.D., Atanas Maev, Paula Varanda, Ph.D. and Ana Macara, Ph.D.

The presentation of Atanas Maev was held yesterday (5 October) on the topic: "International research: Communication and innovative skills for marketing upgrade". It informed on the results discovered during the two-years-long project CLASH! and the held laboratories, in which partners were Balleto di Roma (Italy), Companhia de Dança de Almada (Portugal), 420People (Czech Republic), Polish Dance Theatre (Poland) and Derida Dance Center (Bulgaria). The project is co-financed by Creative Europe.
