Save the date for the EDN Atelier in Sofia, co-organized and hosted by Derida Dance Center. The EDN Atelier will be held in Sofia on May 10-11, 2022, and it coincides with the Bulgarian Dance Platform, followed by the Antistatic- international contemporary dance festival (Sofia) and One Dance Festival (Plovdiv).

Sustainability is a burning challenge for many institutions. Their complex and sometimes rigid structures are a disadvantage when it comes to incorporating sustainable approaches into their production processes and carbon footprint, or even introducing new technologies as more sustainable and durable solutions.
During the EDN Atelier in Sofia entitled "Breaking the Habits: Rebuilding Sustainability," both international guest speakers and Atelier participants will discuss the following issues:
How can a dance production house approach sustainability in the 21st century;
Where and when is an entry point for an institution to ensure sustainability in its production cycle and organizational structure;
How can new technologies be introduced into this process?
What are the working models of effectively going green?
We invite artists, producers, curators, artistic directors, producers, and other professionals in the field of dance to participate in the workshop.
The atelier is open to EDN members and others. The detailed program will follow shortly.

You can attend live at your own expense.
You can attend live for a fee of 150€ and request a travel allowance from EDN*.

*For EDN members who request travel allowance:
EDN will cover the cost of three nights' accommodation and per diems (3 days), as well as a flat travel allowance of 300€ for up to 7 EDN participants. The participation fee of 150€ will be charged to your dance-house. Participants are requested to book their own travel and will receive the travel allowance upon presentation of all travel receipts. In case of increased interest (more than 7 participants), priority will be given to underfunded EDN members coming from geographically disadvantaged regions. Registrations are open until 12 April 2022.
