Aerowaves is an organization of people that started as a network in 1996 in London. It now has partners in 33 countries and functions as a platform. It brings together the professional knowledge, personal insight and love for dance of 45 members.
The platform creates cross-border performance opportunities for emerging choreographers. It shares resources and insights and actively enhances connections between dance artists, programmers and audiences across Europe.
Aerowaves took a bold step in 2011 to found Spring Forward. This festival provides a platform for at least 10 contemporary dance performances selected by the partners. Aerowaves invites key programmers from across the world to discover the latest dance from Europe.
Derida Dance Center is an Aerowaves member since 2012 and a Presenting Partner in the platform since 2015. In the next years Derida Dance will promote talented European artists in Bulgaria partnering with local festivals and venues and in 2018 Derida Dance will be host of the Spring Forward festival.
