The project “New Dance Into The New Venue” is initiated by the internet site ‘DANCE.LV Journal’, spanning the range of events including contemporary dance performances, seminars and master classes. In 2015 the festival is happening in Saldus, Latvia in the period August 14 - 19.
Derida Dance Center takes part in the initiative through partnership with Movement Research. Thanks to this cooperation DDC team made possible for the dance writer Elena Angelova to participate in the event not only as a critic taking part in the workshops related to dance writing but also as a performer.
Elena will present “Tongue” – dance project created by Elena Jacinta (Latvia) as a choreographer and performer and Elena Angelova as a performer during a residency in Derida Dance Center in 2014.
The project “New Dance Into The New Venue” is part of “The Writing Movement Network” initiative. For making Bulgarian participation possible within the event Derida Dance Center is supported by Movement Research with Funding from the Trust from Mutual Understanding.
